SubscribeTofacitinib is a recently released medication that can be taken by mouth to be used for ulcerative colitis in adults. Tofacitinib is used most often when one or more of anti-TNF medicines isn't working. In the limited studies to date, side effects have included diarrhea, headache, and high blood pressure. Serious side effects may include infections, cancer, and pulmonary embolism.
