ATTENDING EVENTS AND ACTIVITIES

If you're feeling stressed or challenged by living with IBD, attending an event or going to one of your favorite activities can lift your spirits and refocus you on what you enjoy. The pleasure you get from being involved can spill over to having some physical benefit as well. 

  • Make sure to take any needed medicines.
  • Take a seat by the aisle to help you get to the bathroom, if need be.
  • Be careful to stay on your diet.  
  • Make plans with friends, if you worry or get tense driving there
  • Also consider talking about something other than your IBD
