SubscribeIn particular, your doctor will want to know if you have been on any medicine that could interact with your anti-TNF. You should stay off anti-TNF medicines if you are on one of these:
Tell your doctor if you have ever used Rituxin® (rituximab), Imuran® (azathioprine), or Purinethol® (mercaptopurine, 6-MP). Under some circumstances, you can still take one of these while you are taking an Anti-TNF, but there can be more side effects.
While that seems like a lot to tell your doctor, these are important facts that will help to guide your doctor in selecting your medicines and monitoring their effect. It may be helpful to keep a list of these facts, so that you don't have to rely on your memory while you are at the doctor's office.
