SubscribeFor Crohnies (those with Crohn's disease), and some Ucees (those with ulcerative colitis), diet alone may not be enough to prevent B12 deficiencies. If symptoms of a deficiency are already present, the best ways to correct B12 deficiencies is to receive monthly shots or weekly nasal sprays. These methods will help you or your child absorb the B12 without having to go through the small intestine. Arranging these dosages with your healthcare provider will ensure that you or your child can maintain healthy B12 levels and correct/ prevent future B12 deficiencies.
