SubscribeSpotting a vitamin B12 deficiency can be tricky, especially in those with inflammatory bowel disease (IBD). Our bodies keep stores of vitamin B12 for when our intake is low or it cannot be properly absorbed from the diet (as seen in Crohnies and some UCees). This means that a vitamin B12 deficiency can develop slowly and the symptoms can appear gradually.
